About our Furniture

Medicine River Woodworks, LLC, located in the breathtaking Bitterroot Valley of western Montana, has been creating log furniture for 10 years. All of our furniture is hand crafted from “standing dead” trees, mostly pine and fir. No live trees are ever cut to create our furniture products. Draw knives and other hand tools are used to peel the bark from the logs, and to clean the burls to bring out the character.

Most of our outdoor furniture is finished with a durable sparr varnish. Our indoor furniture pieces are finished with a polyacrylic or polyurethane varnish. We can also custom stain or finish to your specifications.

We are a “ma & pa operation” there is no assembly line production at our shop. No item leaves our shop that we wouldn’t want to put in or around our own home. We guarantee your satisfaction.

We believe in today’s competitive market the only way to build a lasting business is by having happy customers. As we travel around the state selling our products at Home & Garden Shows, Festivals, and Art & Craft Shows, we continually see our customers coming back for more. This is the best compliment we can hope for, is to have happy, satisfied customers that we do business with year after year. You probably won’t see us at shows out of state, as we stay busy right here in our home state of Montana.
